Wow he actually has the balls to talk to the girl etc. Can you find this girl in the hall and talk to her then? If she's new to your school, she probably wants to meet people. Give up on the joke though, you've already played it out.

Also I just had another idea. She always eats lunch with the same group of girls at the same table, so I was thinking maybe one day I should go sit at that table before anyone gets there, and then when she gets there I can be like "oh hey, do you want me to move?" and she'll be like "no it's alright, why don't you eat with us". I think that sounds like a good idea, but do you also think I should have some paper and pens stuffed into my lunch bag just to continue our joke that I eat stationery?

I would make sure to bring along two or three of the made up facebook friends so that it doesnt look like you are creepy and all alone irl not just on facebook

please stop brainstorming for more "eating pens" jokes. Just ask her in between classes if she wants to cinema or whatever... would save all the hassle of running about.
