This is another congressional supporter. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name.

The unnamed congressman looks an awful lot like my representative Bobby Scott . Is that him?

D$D: Is your daughter old enough to drink?! Or is that Welch's in a wine glass?

Soda for her water for me.

We're not big drinkers.

so we lay down on the grass in the park and took a nap homeless style. I would not make a good “outdoorsman” as bums are referred to in the PC manner.

I have never in my life heard the homeless labeled in this manner- lol.

Started getting acquainted with the DC Metro system. First thing we encountered was a really really long deep escalator down to the station.

If you go back, $10 if you slide down the middle, like the movies. Only $5 if you hurt yourself. $20 if you do a flip at the end, another $10 if you stick the dismount after the flip.
That should cover your cab ride on a return trip.

Hope your home turned out okay, on the west coast?

If you haven’t guessed, I came away impressed with the PPA effort here. If everyone of the online poker players here on 2+2 put in the kind of work and dedication exhibited on this trip, we would have online poker to our liking in a short while. Of course, if many of us choose to sit back and let the other fellow do it……. well, the opposition is not going to be sitting back.

Good to hear they are coming across as competent.

hi tuff - skimmed through the report mostly. Nice pics.

Saw some line you had about players needing to get off their backside if they want it regulated in the U.S., etc etc.
IMO the PPA needs to do a better job of getting this out of their own people.
I'm now a member of the PPA and am pretty disappointed. They don't tell me anything. They have so many members and THEY should be rallying the troops and keeping me informed.

I think I have received ONE e-mail from them since joining and it pretty much was an 'update' that said nothing.

So they bring some people into DC to meet with various politicians. If I knew nothing about this beforehand then I'm guessing many people in the DC/VA/MD area who would be interested in participating didn't know either.

Maybe it was on their website. Don't know because I haven't looked at it in awhile. But they can do a lot more with the 800k membership they currently have imo and need to be the ones reaching out to them somewhat.
The membership base WILL respond in kind if the PPA shows they are competent in rallying their troops and keeping them informed.

With the ease of communication in the 21st century with such interesting inventions as e-mail I really don't think this is an outlandish suggestion.
