Saw the highlights during the HNIC intermission. Dirty as hell to take advantage of a player in a position like that. Flyers are on a roll so far this season being involved in pretty much ever vicious incident.

After watching the video, the hit was super nasty, but not even close to a lot of the other suspension worthy hits of the past couple years, including the two Flyer ones this year. I expect 5-10 games for this one.

Also, I think it's time to implode the Wachovia Center, and perhaps the entire city of Philadelphia.

Those Villanova kids wouldn't have anywhere to play UCONN though. Actually, implode it screw Villanova.

Yup, Jones's stick was high and it was a semi-cross check from behind.

wtf? watch that youtube video and that is nowhere near a crosscheck, as far as his his stick being high i relaly don't think his stick had one thing to do with that hit

OK...I watched it.

Please notice I said....'semi-cross check'. Perhaps I should explain what I meant better.

The butt end of his stick hit Bergeron a bit high; right on the shoulder. The rest of the stick was off the body.

That's why I called it a semi. I don't think a cross checking penalty was warranted.

A boarding penalty was, however.

Another dirty hit from the Flyers. Isn't that the third one this season?

The evidence that Philly teams are classless and douchey is piling up.

Uh...what evidence? I'm very intrigued by your findings.

Yeah, that's just not true Bob. Some of them are also terrible.

I should change that to Philly fans. Though the teams aren't too great either (see the Flyers for this season).

Examples of classless Philly fans:

-Throwing batteries at J.D. Drew when he played at Veterans Stadium for the first time
-Laughing as Michael Irvin lie motionless on the ground after a serious neck injury
-Clapping and cheering while Jeff Garcia (their own QB) was lying on the turf injured
-Personal experience: Getting pegged in the head with a chunk of ice when I was 15 years old.

------------

With regards to Eagles fans, I think this is due to the average age of the season ticket holder. The average age of a Giants season ticket holder is over 50 years old (I think 52). The average age for an Eagles season ticket holder is approximately 30 years old (maybe a bit more). How many 50+ year olds are going to throw batteries at players and laugh when they lie injured on the ground?
