What types of cash games can be found in sydny? do they run often.

sydney casino literally has to be in the top few casinos anywhere on earth for high rake.

the rake at 200nl (5/5 blinds) is $1 per player per hand - regardless of pot size.

[/ QUOTE ]It's probably one of the worst casinos on earth as far as how it's run. They have a monopoly so they don't give a [censored] about players. Not only are drinks not comped, they cost more than they do outside the casino. It's so bad, they don't even have a "floor decision is final" rule.

I was playing the above mentioned $200NL game and absolutely crushing it. After folding utg I mentioned I was going to go grab a sandwich and would be back for the next orbit. I go to the bathroom, get a sandwich, and post the big blind. The guy next to me says "hey, he needs to pay $10."
"Umm, no I don't because I'm not posting out of position"
"Yes you do because you missed the blinds"
"No, that's not the rule anywhere."
The dealer agrees with this [censored] and calls the floor person over. She makes me put $10 of dead money in the pot. At this point I'm steaming and play out the orbit before racking up the AU$1400 or so I have in front of me. I go to the poker desk and talk to the floorperson's boss. I know that acting like a dick isn't going to get me anywhere so I just try to be nice.
"I've never heard of [situation I just explained] rule before. Could you show me where it is in the book?."
"Well, it's not a rule."
"I see."
"But you were out of your seat for more than ten minutes so we could have taken your seat away and that's why you had to pay the addtional blinds."
"Could you show me the rule that allows the floor person to impose penalties on players."
"That isn't actually a rule."
"I'd like to talk to your boss."
Eventually one of the major casino managers comes out and I explain the situation to him. He apologizes profusely and tells me the casino will refund the $10. He fills out some paperwork and gives me a voucher for $10.

i think that whoiam is excessively generous.

i think that you would genuinely be better off dying 8 hours earlier than playing 8 hours at sydney's star city casino. it wouldn't even be close.

Star City is one of the last places in Sydney I would go, unless I had a fetish for 60 year old chain smoking asian guys
