Hard to say. I've never had an opponent shove blind before against me. I'd probably think AK or some ace high hand. Maybe a mid pair.

But that doesn't matter much here. Yang doesn't think that way. He sees a hand, jams and literally prays for it to hold.

wow.. before i came to this site .. i never knew anyone could watch someone play poker on television, and "know what he's thinking". that you know how Jerry Yang thinks is impressive.

i'll make sure to watch for any future post you may make. maybe you know how some other people think too!

I also watched the entire FT on PPV and saw every hand of that final table. So yes, I am qualified enough to assess Jerry's play.

i watched the ppv as well. i agree with your assessment. just thought it was funny how you phrased it.

i don't see why khan didn't just call Jerry's raise.
We all know jerry isn't folding anything...
We know he's hyper-aggro...
let's just see a flop and re-assess.

i think khan broke one of my major rules of final table MTT's
which is:

+) don't try to muscle the stack that can knock you out of the tourney.

it looks like a great double up opportunity

unlucky he ran into JJ but jerry is playing many weaker aces the same way

edit: calling pre sucks hard, especially against this type of player

whole stack against the only player who can afford to
call my all-ins with anything and probably will...

that's hardly results orientated.

may i point out the style of the 2nd place finisher ( Tran? )
who took home $4 Million? and just carefully folded his
way to 2nd ?

I think the best play for Khan is to call and reassess on the flop.. I agree that you have to assume the big stack is going to put your tourney at risk. The push dark I don't like, but if he's trying to signal a big hand with a stop and go sort of move I guess it's ok... but it was clear that Yang was going to call and race him down regardless.
