Ok..everyone likes to be aggressive so lets turn this situation around. If you have AA (almost exactly a coinflip) against Hero in this hand and you know that your opponent has K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. What is YOUR best flop result?...TO GET ALL THE MONIES IN THE MIDDLE.

Now if its the best result for AA can it be the best result for K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] too?...NO

There are many situations where your best ev play is also the best for villain too.

It's like in min-bet poker when you should raise w/ tp on turn but villian calls anyways with a flush draw: +ev for everyone.

You are 50% against black aces on the flop but only have 32% equity on that turn. If you hit he may fold his pair. So would you rather blank most rivers and fold to a river bet?

I 3b this flop w/ 2 pair and sets and need to do it with combos too.

Price of poker is going up on that flop if I'm the hand.

Dead money in the pot makes very many calls EV+. However, ignoring disguise/metagame/etc., when you are heads up one player always gains and one always loses value with an action unless that action is exactly EV neutral. In your example the FD player would have rather taken the infinite odds offered by a check than call a bet from TP holder. In your example the drawing player gradually loses value as the bet size increases to the point where he no longer has the odds to draw profitably at which point he should fold. The key is that if one player could see the other's hand there is always an action they would rather see/take and that action will never be the action preferred by the one whose hand is bare.
