No. There may be certain spots (like family pots) where you might have some equity, but whatever marginal equity you have is negated by your position. Doing this on a regular basis, even in ultra passive games, is like setting money on fire. Even in the extremely passive game you describe; the only difference is how long the money takes to burn.

Oh, and it doesn't matter what the flop came and you were down like $40. That's results oriented thinking and it's not conducive to success at LHE.

Yeah, I knew when I was saying this that I would get that answer. But truly, I was thinking of the long term in these hands.

So, tell me again just so I get it: incorrect to limp with 3-2 gappers in EP?

What about suited connectors in EP? I have a hard time mucking 87[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], even though I know it's in bad shape against 9T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Thanks for your response, OO. I do appreciate the criticism.

Yes, don't limp suited gap connectors in EP. Doesn't really matter how passive the game is.

Don't play those hands up front either. Suited connectors in LP are situational. If it folds to me in the HJ, I'm folding the 87. If there are a few limpers and I think the button or HJ will come in, then sure. It also depends on the quality of players behind me. The one thing you do need to take into account is that you need several players in the pot to make this profitable. Don't limp 87 behind one guy. You can also blind steal with both those hands.

Truly, EP+suited gap connectors=money on fire

SSHE says for loose passive games you can go as low as 98 for suited connectors and J9 for suited gappers in EP.

Yup I read that too, anyway here at Hawaiian Gardens, ull see people limping with 9To or even 78o EP, I dont do it but when its loose and passive I admit I sometimes limp in with 67s and Q8s EP.
