Re: 5-6 year old soccer play--- bad form or good plan?

Running trick plays with 5 year olds is pathetic. My 7 year old has been on horrible teams the last 3 years and maybe has won 3 or 4 games, though it's a little hard to tell since there is no official score. From my extensive experience with 5-7 year olds who lose a lot, most of the kids don't really care that much.

I prob wouldn't do it unless your team is being demoralized by losses

[/ QUOTE ]
Demoralized? They are 5. They don't have morals yet.

[/ QUOTE ]

they have morale, dumbass

[/ QUOTE ]

No, I took a college psychology class and we learned that most children haven't fully developed their morals until they are at least 9 years old.

Let's play a little word game...

Morale minus the e is moral.
Moral with an n instead of a l is moran.
A moran with a college education is still a moran.

Does it make you feel clever when you copy and paste things you found from the internet?

No, but it makes him feel clever when he gets leveled...

You guys realize there is NO offsides on a throw in, right? There is no moral or ethical issue here.........

so you guys that are arguing morals etc are saying that you want the coach to instruct the players not to run downfield and not pass the ball to the guy running downfield, despite no rules against this?

i barely know the [censored] rules, and I fill in as a coach when the other two have better things to do i guess. in practice, i try to instill the concept that if the kids actually create a little separation that they can do this incredible thing called a "pass" which will take them to the next level.

there are no goalies. there are no refs. there is no official score, but the frickin little punks from last week knew exactly how many goals they had to our none and kept reminding our team of it. oh yeah, they know that that means they win at the end.

are you "its ok in the world cup" people telling me that ronaldo or whoever can just come up to the net on a throw in and kick it in? wtf?

Yes. That's part of the opposing team's penalty for kicking the ball out of bounds.
