I know that a separate-from-the-Bellagio, "high roller" type casino is in the works for City Center. But is this really anticipated (a big poker room, supplanting Bellagio)? You probably know more than I do...but I find it hard to believe that a poker room in a semi, sorta, kinda, exclusive gated community kind of place is really going to displace the one in a (for lack of a better term) "public" kind of casino, like Bellagio.

City Center's centerpiece is a casino and matching hotel with 3438 rooms and 564 suites. Word on the street is that a poker room is planned, of course anything could happen between now and the grand opening since staffing hasn't started so we cannot be sure, but its a pretty safe bet that this will be the plan. Bobby Baldwin is the president of City Center, its only logical based on past experience.

When I read about the management restructuring, the first thought that came to mind was the Owl would be gone. Someone out there will offer him the corner office and big bucks.

He's the President of City Center and head of future development.

I\'m still waiting for Dave to find me a seat

... totally clueless front guy. F***ing riot to watch him wander around the room.

To be fair, the other floor people, cocktails servers and many dealers at the Bellagio are very good and professional.

My only complaint is that they shoe-horned in too many tables for the space. Compare it to the Venetian.

Curious why you say that

"Bellagio is primarily a high limit room,"

Curious why you feel that way. I have played there for years, never bigger than $5-10 NL, and felt it was always solicitous of lower limit players like me as well. The service is good and the dealers are as good in the lower limits as in the higher.

(If I do not visit the Bellagio when I am in Las Vegas, it is likely a traffic issue or related to where I am staying ... as you noted there are other options now which offer nice rooms, such as Caesars, Wynn and the Venetian.)

the venetian is the worlds largest resort and has no business relitive to the size of its theoretical user base. Its hard to compare.

I could clarify by saying its a mid limit and high limit room. 5/10 nl is arguably mid-limit in Vegas.

5/10NL is not classified as low limit NL in Vegas. 1/2 is low limit 2/5 is mid and 5/10+ is "high" to 99% of the people coming/living here.
