It makes plenty of sense. Only a handful of people are profitable long term in high stakes SNGs because of the ridiculous rake. Therefore, someone who is slightly unprofitable would still make a top 20 leaderboard.

He lost most of the SNG money in his chase for elite, but he's likely near even in SNGs when you factor in his SN elite status and team pokerstars deal.
