This is exactly the opposite. Against a decent opponent you should bet the turn planning to not put any more money in. If you check the turn you should call the river, but checking this turn would be bad.

no no i said checking this turn would be bad.

my point was that against a good opponent on this board, the best time to get one more street of value is the turn because this isn't a great board to induce bluffs from and there's like 8 million draws out there.

against this guy we can go for value on the river, against other people you would check behind the river, against someone who might check/raise with just a draw you could check, but this is a scary board for people to be taking shots with naked draws because it hits your range so well.

but anyway my point was just that betting this turn and folding the river isn't bad against some people.
