I know Shane will read this, so Shane are you a Degen or have you ever been one???. Have I misclassified you?? My opinion on Kevin and Shane is based on playing against them online. Anyone who multitables 6+ mtts at the same time 12+ hrs a day, 7 days a week. That's a degen regardless if you win or lose at it. Granted Shane doesn't do this much anymore. I remember when he did. By degen I'm not really emphasizing gambler but "poker player". 90% of the top pro's will admit they are a degen in one way or another.

I look at degenerate gambler as having more sick bankroll management.
Making aggressive bets or sick calls or something isn't really that degen.

Winning $100k at the poker table and then heading straight to the sportsbook or craps table to bet it all away is degen.

I think your definition of 'degen gambler' describes most 2+2ers.

The Mouth be the biggest degen there...but he's definitely the best tournament player at that table.

Working a 70+ hour week isn't really 'degenerate' if you're making constant money at it. Playing a 70+ hour week if you're a consistently losing player and constantly borrowing/stealing/grafting money to support your habit, however, is.
