Mermade,

"Actually, I wish something of the IC sort would start here. Love to Mrs. Utah and her efforts, I just think there are more foodies here.)"

We have some strong potential contestants here based on the What's Cooking threads. You (or anyone else who so desires) should start an EDF IC (or other contest) here. If someone posts a thread, I'll toss out some ground rules and will be happy to help guide it along.

We can make it a little less structured than the OOT IC. Based on the number of posts we get in What's Cooking, I think it should work fine.

Hey Mer,

I miss IC too. And yes I have tried to get some other types of challenges/contests going but with not much success.

I agree this forum seem the most motivated to see a contest type of format and would love to start it up again if there are those interested in joining in.

I do agree that making changes would be a good thing. The change I would be most interested in would be using any recipe available. Coming up with original recipes is definitely a challenge in itself. I do not think that source of the recipe should be weighted-use your own, someone else's or a variation of either.

So, I am curious now that it has been brought up several times, is it worth another go?
Thoughts?

I'd love to participate in one of these things. I won't be able to cook next weekend, so I won't start the thread, but if nothing has been organized by end of next week I'll give it a shot.
