Either Bluff or All-In had an article on Larry Flynt like a year or so ago. I think it was All-In. And it was during the poker boom.

Of course i do not feel dumb. I already knew Flynt played in big games. So what? He is a porno king and it is pathetic that Cardplayer would put him on their cover. Really looks great for the poker movement in these tough times when a porn king is put on the cover of a leading poker mag. Gives more ammo to those who are anti-poker, when they see Flynt on the cover. How stupid can CP be.

Oh, did he win the strip poker championship?
------- CardPlayerMag... morons

Give them enough money, and I'm sure they'll put you on the cover. Who can forget that popular online site, Naked Poker, on the cover last year?

Is it just me or is this a little late, seeing as the new issue is out already(David Singer).
Also, it was a feature on the Hustler Casino (big advertisers in CP), and the big stud game that Larry Hosts there. I have seen far worse (such as Naked poker) this one didnt offend my that much.

I used to see Larry Flynt around Binion's during the World Series of Poker. He would park his wheel chair, real gold, at the front table entering the buffet area. A lot of the big players would stop to pay homage or to suck up. He is a major, all-day sucker.

I remember Amarillo Slim writing about Flynt trying to fix some event, seven stud I think, by bribing the other players at the final table. I don't recall the details or where it appeared. Flynt is a celebrity poker player and he is poker news. He's also a big advertiser.

IIRC, it was one the ME in the 80's? McManus's book says more.
