amsterdam cafe is great and the place next door has the volcano vaporizer for rent which is a good $5 spent if you've never tried it.

Vancouver probably has some of the best sushi in North America. I have never been there, but I have always wanted to try Tsunami Sushi on Robson street - apparently there is a little river running through the restaurant, and little boats float by carrying your food.

Tsunami is ok. A lot of people rate Tojo's as being in the top 5 in north america. My favorite right now is Aki Sushi.

The best value for sushi/korean BBQ/hot pot is Shabusen on Granville and 14th. Anyone agree?

Aki is very very good, and 1/4 the price of Tojo's, which is indeed fantastic.
