[/ QUOTE ] People in Asia are offering $500,000 to LA to have them play exhibition matches. Most stadiums in the US have seen serious spikes in ticket sales for LA Galaxy games. This guy is going to be very popular around the US. But thanks for your input.

even the usa im pretty sure beckham is more wellknown. only football fans know who ldt is. but beckham is a celebrity with a ton more crossover attention from marrying posh and having movies named after him. its really not close.

Victor - correct.
In the case of my GF, sister and mom I could even go so far as to say, "You know. LT is ladainian tomlinson. He's this amazing running-back for the San Diego Chargers who is the best player in the league and has been breaking all kinds of records for touchdowns and stuff" and they would STILL have no idea who the hell I was talking about.


If I said Peyton Manning or David Beckham they would immediately know who I was talking about without me needing to say anymore.

I would be willing to bet that my 91 year-old grandmother in West Virginia would be able to identify Beckham or Manning also and would have absolutely no clue who Tomlinson is.
