Re: **** SEPTEMBER LOW CONTENT THREAD *****

Holy mother of all weekends from hell.

Having a -$2500 day on a $3500 bankroll is really bad.

There were a few losses that were obvious tilt issues (where I should have stopped playing but didn't, or where I should have moved down and didn't), but there were so many sick beats after sick beats after sick beats laid down by the absolute worst players, that it literally made me want to cry.

This is by *far* the biggest downswing, in both $ amounts and buyin count, that I've had in almost 4000 heads-up sngs, and was especially painful because I had just started to go positive again after a 5 or 600 game break-even streak while I was trying to figure out how to not suck at turbos. (yes, I really am that slow of a learner, apparently)

I'm starting to make a little bit of a comeback now, but my god, was it brutal.

On the upside, in the middle of this really horrifically bad streak, I did get to take $110 from PrimordialAA, after we both thought we joined first, and ended up playing each other.

Whenever I'm running bad I always say "I don't think I've ever run this bad before." Well, this time, I think it's true.

I'm playing the 50+2.50 regulars on Stars right now. The worst players on the site congregate here to try to lose their money to me, but continually fail at it.

This is going to be the greatest month ever. Won about 8k in August and that was great. In two days this month I'm up 1700. Was sitting at a 1/2hu table last night with >1600.

Re: **** SEPTEMBER LOW CONTENT THREAD *****

I definitely feel for ya there HokieGreg. My $2500 downswing (playing $220s and $110s) was full of stuff exactly like that. Hit your "perfect" card on the river, only to find out that you were drawing dead. Your second pair filling your opponent's gutshot draw in a pot he should have folded long before. Getting all-in with a solid top pair against second or third pair, and losing. Getting in preflop pair-over-pair and losing almost every time. Flopping a straight, losing to runner-runner flush.

I'd be afraid to try to create a bad beat anthology though, because I suspect the truth is even *worse* than I remember, and finding that out for sure would just be too discouraging.
