can nobody help figure out why the 2560 x 1600 is not properly scaled to my monitor?

Sounds like your card is outputting the correct resolution but for some reason the monitor is in a lower resolution. What resolution does the monitor think its displaying when this happens?

My Question - Why is Catalyst recognizing what should be the 3007 30" monitor as the 2007 22" monitor??

Perhaps the wrong drivers are loaded for it?

I'm not sure what you mean by "what doe sthe monitor think".

But when I turn the computer on with only the 30" connected to the card it sets the resolution at 1280 x 800...

I am 99% sure the drivers are correct as funkyworms helped me reinstall them

Most monitors have controls on them for adjusting the image position, colors, etc. They also typically will display the resolution information.

the only controls I see on the 30" is a +/- sign which adjusts the brightness....

Ok breakthrough I think,

I just started my computer with the 30" plugged into the PCIe DVI output as usual, and as usual, wrong res - it starts up defaulted to 1280 x 800. And the 20" hooked up to the VGA and working fine.

Then, once the computer is on and running, I try pluging the other 20" VGA into the PCIe and this 20" defaults to run at 2560 x 1600???

Everything is much smaller and shrunk down on the one 20" that is running at 2650 x 1500, I'm sure this info can be used to help solve the problem, i just don't know how....wtf?

Nevermind obv the 20" is running at 1600 x 1200.....

I still think this is the most likely reason. Perhaps you associated the 3007 drivers with the wrong monitor? (I did this with my 204B)
