Leave it to the Politics forum to [censored] up even April Fool's. Jesus [censored] christ.

BTW this was pretty obvious to me, since the "edited by" field was the same font size as the edited post. Normally the edited font is a couple of points smaller. Also, the edit time was immediate (same minute) but yet was three hours off (Borodog is obviously in EDT). This is also inconsistent with a standard edit.

Conclusion: tup >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>> politics posters.

I guess we should be happy someone over there didn't decide April Fool's was somehow anti-semitic.

the worst mod decision was not to ban you

a close second would be to keep the politics forum open

Didn't read the April Fools day stuff and am not really knowledgeable about all the politcs-forum drama that lead to the context of all this.

But would it not be at all effective to just lock or delete the offending post and then PM the poster to tell him you feel we've had enough of these?

If, after a warning or deletion, they then go on to try to defy the mod again in some annoying way then go ahead and ban them I guess.
But I think 3-day bans as a first-response to something that apparently others were already doing is possibly not the best approach.

Bob,

Going out on a limb here, but I'm pretty sure you missed the whole point of the "joke".

(Now waiting for a lame argument about the slippery slope of abuse of powers...)

I'm sure a certain someone will be around soon to mention some movie about Nazis that he saw recently, and how it made him think about the politics mods...and then the thread will be complete.

I think recent events in ATF have left many of us Politics non-regulars utterly confused as to there ever being any jokes over there.

Really? I've been thinking one big joke is pretty much all that forum is.
