Re: My Money is Gone in Full Tilt
One piece of advice to all of you that have free antivirus, firewalls, etc...
FREE = BAD. You want to protect thousands of dollars on the poker sites and you can't offer $50 a year to buy a proper antivirus software? Sorry to say, but you're asking to be hacked. Hope your problem gets solved OP. You should reformat your computer, reinstall windows and BUY a proper antivirus/firewall.. software. |

Re: My Money is Gone in Full Tilt
I have used all of the products you mention and they are all bad. Try logging into a porn site and see how many trojans they stop (only snoopfree is ok in fact but it doesn't protect from much).
But hey, it's your money, if you want to be cheap on security, be my guest... only, don't come whinning to the forums when your money is gone. |

Re: My Money is Gone in Full Tilt
I appreciate the software advice; thank you.
I am happy most of my money is in pokerstars. I don't know if it is/was safer, but it's still there anyways. I guess the assumption is I was hacked, my password or whatever and that would seem to be my 'fault' not fulltilt's. I am very thankful that FTPSean has responded. |
Re: My Money is Gone in Full Tilt
AVG is a good free anti-virus. You also should have a good software firewall if your routers hardware firewall isn't that great. Try ZoneAlarm for a good free software firewall. Then, you will want to run hijackthis to check out your spyware situation, also free.

I would probably reformat and start from scrach if this happend to me. [/ QUOTE ] If indeed it turns out that his computer is infected then yes, I would recommend a format as well. edit: given that stealth malware is out there, if the most likely explanation is that he was hacked, a format would probably be a good idea regardless of what the scans show. ie, FT says it is nothing on their end, no one besides OP had access, but the $ was dumped... |
