I think theres definitely value in a bet here. some worse queens will tag along given the nature of the board, as will most Jx's since they all have gutshots to go with them.

Having a gs on the river really won't help him much, will it?

i think it's a merge against some villains for sure, but perhaps not against the villain in the actual hand

I'd think it was really more a 'merge' depending on image right? If OP was a 9/7 - I'd argue this was a definite merge and their ranges are permapolarized.

For a 50/30, not so much.

Merging ranges is fully dependent on having rigidly defined ranges whether they arise from players style or how a certain situation played out.

no [censored] [censored]. wtf kind of reply is that

was implying that he's more likely to get to the river with a jack given the board.

I check call because every draw missed and the only hand he might pay off here is QT, all others beat you and I doubt he will fold a better hand. c/c is the line here.

I thought someone had to state the obv flaw in your post. You're saying there's value in a river bet because he's calling the turn with JT. He's not calling your river bet with 2nd pair mid kicker.

This is certainly a c/c and the post I qouted sums up why in a great way.
