IANAL but if you have a lease then doesn't the foreclosing bank still have to honor it? Isn't it the same as if your landlord had sold the house?

No, they aren't going to be buying anything as they already own the home. Your landlord was just renting it from them.

Pretty sure it varies significantly and you mentioned both posh and country club so I really think it's time for a meeting with counsel.

Just understand that you most likely have zero rights or valid claims to the home as foreclosures are special from a legal sense so your lease probably means dick.
