Might be because someone from your IP area has been doing nasty stuff. Go to www.efnet.org and check out the list of other servers you can use (servers link on top).

It said something about my IP being blacklisted or something like that.

Just tried adding a new server and I'm in.

I'm such a geek that I still use IRC regardless. I'm even more of a geek cause I really wanna point out that it's not an mIRC channel, but an IRC channel.

God, I'm old. I've been using IRC before web browsers were in use.
