Ultimately, the business serves the customer. While the business can provide whatever it feels like to attract its target customer, it needs to understand who their target customer actually is and not just who they wish they were.

The customer demands the features of the product just as much as the business does. Otherwise, the customer goes elsewhere. I'm not saying this whole event is worthy of leaving but little by little these things erode the community and that is all this site has.

A low key common sense approach would have been much better and still accomplished the goal.

Sure, they have said repeatedly that the site was intended to showcase the books. But smaller community = less traffic = less books sold = less adv. $$.

Also, lets face it. The poker boom is on the downswing. They need these forums now more than ever.

cit, adanthar, OSU, woodguy etc. have owned this thread basically they have actually used logic while almost everyone else has just been like ZOMG don't take BBV away.

Everyone getting mad at cit, from my understanding he was asked to do this. I may be wrong but I don't think cit is just enforcing his will on BBV. Maybe this could be clarified.

Also do people really care that they can't use the words gay and nigga that much?

Lastly 2p2 is a business if Mat/david/mason/whoever else feel like this hurts the business the new rules seem perfectly reasonable.
