I didnt quite understand the sammy's "customer" comment and how that can be interpreted as rude.

i dont quite get it either, and im not even sure gabe did. I originally thought that he was insulting Guy by saying he would only usually do that to customers, referring to Guy.

Awesome episode
1) PA didn't really care to run it more than once initially, but then he realized it's better to keep the fish happy and agreed.

2) I thought Benyamine was awesome.

3) Jamie's going to blow through that 6 mill really fast. This is watching a car wreck in slow motion starting from 30 seconds before it even happens.

4) I enjoy watching all the pros accommodate Jamie and make him feel good and humor him in such a way that he thinks he should keep playing against them.

5) Guy seems like a great guy, I'm enjoying his luckboxing so far.

Spoilers ahead:

I can tell (for almost 100% sure) Gold isn't going busto this season. Told it in Amsterdam to a couple of guys.

Sorry for the disappointment.

On season 1 and 2 running it three times meant that one player will scoop the whole pot. That's how I understood it. This was explained by Eli Elezra in one of the episodes where they ran it twice. Running it twice was better according to Eli has it gave to "even it out". I guess I understood the concept wrong.

This doesn't make much sense to me. If you deal three times, each one should be for 1/3 of the pot. That seems like the best way to minimize the variance.

[/ QUOTE ]

It actually makes no sense at all unless it's exactly a 50/50 proposition. If it's not, and you make it a best of 3 proposition, the guy who's ahead has an even better chance of scooping.

For example, if we assume PA has a 75% chance of winning on each river, and they go for a best of 3, then PA wins 54/64 (84%) and JG wins 10/64 (16%).

Which means it's a really good way to go if you're ahead and your opponent is bad at math.

you really think jamie made a mistake here? he wants all of PA's chips. you make a set on that board, only someone in the game over their head does not shove on that turn. if you see boogey monsters around every turn .. then you shouldn't play.

[/ QUOTE ]

i wouldn't necessarily say he played it badly, but it is worth noting that the instant PA called, Gold was pissed as if he got caught bluffing or something. I mean if you are going to raise there, you shouldn't really be pissed if they call. Goes back to the whole jaime gold doesn't know what hes doing thing

[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong. Gold was pissed off cause PA called INSTANTLY. Which means PA obviously had to have a straight. If he thought for awhile and then called Gold would not have been upset like he was. Doesn't mean he never gets called by worse but he never gets called by worse when PA calls that fast.

I don't like Gold either but you can't blame him for this reaction to a snap call, as funny as it was.

Someone should do the math on PA running it 1,2,3 times. I'm would think it's slightly more ev for PA to run it as much as possible. As each time Gold does hit, there's less outs the next time. Yes there's less non-outs if Antonius hits. But I wouldn't think that change has as much effect. Or maybe it works out exactly even.

I don't think it matters but I am not that good at the maths.

also how sick would it be if Gold had A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] there? Freerolling for 740k. mmmmm

If Gold just called the turn and the Q comes out there, does PA lose everything on the river or can he get away from it? Can he check fold his straight to a push? Although, knowing Jamie, as soon as PA checked he'd prolly just say 'I got Kings Full' and turn up his hand.

id imagine PA would check/call. gold would bet which is really either a monster or a bluff, since hes shown to not vbet medium strength hands
