Romano stops by Brad Garrett's table after he busts. "Do you want to pay me that side bet now?" Garrett says.

"Have you guys all seen Brad's show?" Romano says. "Better hurry!"

Priceless. Ray may not be good at poker but he's damn funny.

I was wondering the same thing when he 4-bet to 20k and folded to a 5-bet.

From Zimba's WSOP blog on cardrunners:

"Unfortunately, Brian Townsend busted out during the last hour. He had drifted down to around 16k and raised A,J on the button to 1200. One of the blinds shoves for 14k. Brian went with his read that the player was weak and called. The player turned over K's and Brian's day came to an end shortly after. On his way out he saw Bobby Baldwin, confirming their big game was on for tomorrow."

What's the bet Aba was sitting there thinking, I cannot stand another minute of playing 20 hands an hour with these donks. Why the hell is this guy raising me all in for 14k when I raised to 1.2k..... I think he has a mid pocket pair.... I'll take a coinflip so I can leave or double up.

Result: No Good. Thank God.

Yeah, I hate playing high-buyin tournaments with donks.

Awful call, if the action is right. Just don't even play in the first place, if you are some balla who is just going to do stuff like this.

10k is a low buyin for him. I still don't get his call, tho.

It is standard to call a push from the blinds when you raise from the button with AJo. In this case the push was an overbet, which might indicate a decent hand, but people don't usually play big pairs that way. There is some possibility villain is restealing with a weaker ace, suited connector or something. With the overbet, I would be a little worried about AK/AQ or maybe an underpair.

So possibly you are a little ahead, every one in a while you are way ahead, and most of the time you are slightly or way behind. For all your chips, facing a big overbet, in pretty much a nothing pot, early in a deep, slow-structured tournament where you figure to have a huge skill advantage.

Um, yeah, standard call.

Note the 4th paragraph starts off with this qualifier:

"Fewer entrants means the prize pool will likely be smaller."

Leave it to a reporter to always qualify their statements even to the point of absurdity.
