Leaving for East Lansing soon. Probably not going to wear a GVSU shirt (that's something Sparty would do). Think I'll go with the "tWorst State Ever" (Ohio).

I'm somewhat pessimistic as I think Henne won't play or at least won't see much action. Probably more Hart, but I'm more confident in his back-ups than Mallett. Just have him chuck it deep a dozen times and then run the ball the rest.

Go Blue!

Argh why do people keep talking about Matt Ryan's late game heroics but ignore his 57 minutes of pure suck? I mean, I know why, people are stupid and have short-term memories rivaling Leonard Shelby's. Argh stupid people!

Dude, what is it about being so totally and completely clutch that you don't understand?

Go Rutgers!!!

BTW, awesome start PSU, way to give up a 98 yard kick return, I think I just heard my entire campus groan.

Re: College football week 10

Am I the only one who doesn't like the new kickoff rule? It forces the team that just scored into a play where it's difficult to succeed. Nobody can kick touchbacks regularly now, so you just hope your kickoff coverage is good, and if it's not it costs you 30-40 yards. I know you have to be good at special teams to win and that involves KO coverage, but it's too heavily weighted now.

Re: College football week 10

Penn State's offense is pathetic. Purdue keeps getting 15 yard personal foul penalties, and PSU still can't score. Watching PSU is like watching Michigan: throwing the ball in the middle of the field seems to be off limits.

Re: College football week 10

Austiger,

You should see the damage it did to DII football. I've seen a ridiculous amount of long returns now because most kickers barely got the ball to the 5 last year, now you see kickoffs go to the 15 on occasion. I hate it. The clock rule last year was so much worse for us but they changed that, heres to hoping they realize a mistake again.

Heisman-caliber play there by Laurinaitis forcing the fumble on special teams in a close game. If you really go by the "best player on the best team" thing, I think he's got to be at least Top 3.

Re: College football week 10

Never mind, guess it was overturned, but I didn't see anywhere near enough evidence for that. Looked like the ball came loose before he was down to me.

I assume that if Kansas were to run the table, benefit from other teams' continued choking/losing, and somehow make it to the national championship game, the BCS would completely implode, no??

Purdue trying to give this game away I guess. Not that Penn State hasn't tried some too, that timeout was ridiculous.

Wisconsin has 89 total yards in the first half and 31 of those came on a fake punt that set up their only score.

Yet all I'm hearing from my friends is how OSU sucks since they only scored 10 points. I guess you can't win sometimes!

It would be nice to be able to see it, however ESPN thinks that the big 11 game we would rather watch is Iowa/Northwestern, rather than a close OSU/Wisconsin game with national title implications.

Actually, you need to thank the Big Ten network for the inability of 90% of the country to watch the OSU/Wisconsin game.

TD Wisconsin. Could we be looking at #1 BC next week?

Goodness, does Nebraska have a defense or is Kansas now the NE Patriots of college football. What is going on?

Wisconsin has always had OSU's number. Time for the Buckeyes to show they are deserving of their rank. They've totally shut down the running game but are giving up huge pass plays for whatever reason.

Re: College football week 10

That last TD really PO'd Kansas and they are now apparently looking to put a 100 spot on Nebraska today. And as I say that they intercept it at Nebraska's 19. I have seen enough, give Kansas the nat'l championship and be done with it.

nebraska is horrible.....Kansas still has not played a great team at all..theyv played some solid road games at kstate and colorado and texas am and it would be false to say they arent a good football team but they dont have to play anyone decent till missouri (wihtout pig brown) the last game of the regular season

nebraska is really really bad

1 pass, then 8 straight rushes. No reason why can't keep that up for the remainder of the game.

Now if only the defense can learn to tackle the Badger receivers.

Go ahead, Nebraska, keep scoring points. Its only going to make it worse for you.

What is the record for the most points scored in regulation? I am pretty certain Kansas/Nebraska will eclipse it by the end of the third quarter. Or maybe Kansas will just beat it by itself.

Re: College football week 10

73-68 by Portland State and Weber State last week. Not sure about for just FBS teams though. I do know that with OT for FBS teams, it's 69-67 for Boise State and Nevada.

Well I'm pretty sure most of the blowout records are held by Nebraska (or at least they are WELL represented in the top 20) so it will be funny to see them get beaten by 50.

So is there a reason that OSU was passing it earlier? That's twice Chris Wells has come in untouched from outside 30 yards.

Glad to see the Buckeyes woke up after they got slapped in the face to start the 2nd half.
