this was at least 6-7 years old, could be much longer than that depending of whether he means the casino in mt pleasent or the one in detroit. was there a VERY TALL old man with a cane on the bus with me who i played chess with alot named Larry? we went up to both them places from toledo before. and i certainly dont think i always left broke, i always kept money in my pockets u never saw, and i always tended to hide my wins and over exagerrate the losses. i would complain about any loss, and keep quiet about my wins. and u and the guy from the golden nugget need to realize that when someone becomes homeless of course they at times smell bad. its rather common among the homeless. if u had to rent a motel room and spend maybe $40 every time u wanted to shower and had no income ud shower way less often too, plus if u sleep outside and dont have a clean shirt with u u might smell bad.

hell in vegas i went into casino at times such as the imperial palace where they have a bathroom attendant and attempt to clean up. with mouthwash and deoderant etc as good as i could and the guy wouldnt let me use his things because i couldnt really afford to waste money tipping him, and i felt he should let me just to help someone out instead of being an ass. and as far as the golden nugget, i remember hiding and sleeping in an unauthorized area of the casino a few times where security never found me, although once i do think they were looking for someone in that area once, but i was well hidden, but it was a little dusty back there.

however guys i dont think none of this will ever come up again in the future, cause now that i got SSI and will make sure i have at least $4000 on me before i travel anywhere again i can certainly afford a room with a shower and will have a toothbrush and breath strips with me, so i doubt anything would think a thing next time i sit by them. this was a lot of years ago. and id took a room that night in AC had i been able to find one for $29-39 instead of the cheapest room being like $129, even at the real dumps out on white or blackhorse pike. it was labor day weekend. i just went in there to relax in privacy a little while and was gonna come back in play but i was so tired i stayed asleep for many hours.

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

Being able to afford a room and spending the cash on one are two different things, and judging by your posts, you try to avoid that as much as possible. My first thoughts while reading this were, does this guy shower during this whole trip? Nothing worse than having to sit for hours next to someone with questionable hygeine.

As a favor to all of us, feel free to save money where you can, but please, please, keep up on the showering while on your journeys.

one thing that might help would be if i couldve found people willing to let me use the shower in their room for say $1-3 for about 10-15 minutes. it would be nice if people would be more helpful to those struggling to make it. i have found that in SOME (but very few) casinos the health spa-and pool with a shower area-is open to anyone who can pay the $30 fee or whatever, the vast majority its just for hotel guests. but for the few that are its nice to shower, and lay out resting by the pool for only $30 for 8 hrs on a friday or saturday when rooms at the casino are like $129-399. [b] many times it wouldve really been nice if someone wouldve just been willing to pretend i was staying with them simply so i couldve been allowed to use the pool, in all them places where u gotta be a hotel guest. people, if they really wanted to be nice and helpful could assist people who need showers in getting them if they are creative. and lots of times id spend like $3-8 to get the cheapest Tshirt i could find if i needed a clean one and wasnt in a big city where i could ride the bus to a thrift shop, or if i had comps use them in the gift shop.

anyway i dont think this poster really read this thread or hed not thought i never showered, cause i talked about all the times i got a COMP room while i was on the trip. and i paid for rooms a lot of times too, it only when things are going bad and im really low on money that i didnt have one usually except for special occasions like a saturday nite with jacknifed prices. having the ssi now really helps. i didnt get it til 2005, and its protected me from ever having to worry about going broke. (cause if i would at least more money would soon come.)for years i was totally dependent on winning at poker. now im NOT. makes life alot easier. too bad i dont know how to drive, cause a car wouldve solved so many problems too. for if u have a car u can get back and forth to a TRUCK STOP and use their shower for like $5. not only that it provides a place to store ur clothes bathroom supplies, etc.

there are a lot of people living outta campers and RVs near casinos, wish i owned one. only difference is they had a place to shower and clean thier clothes. so thats why they dont look bad to all the other players and i did. and i admit im somewhat to blame, for had i stuck only to poker and refrained from always playing BJ and video poker id never ever had money troubles.

I'm glad you've improved your lifestyle, and I sincerely wish you the best of luck, stay away from the BJ and video poker.

I did read the thread, and people might be a bit paranoid about letting someone they only know from a message board into their hotel room to shower, just as you're paranoid about letting a woman into your room with your cash.

In any case, I wish you the best of luck sir.

Tony you need to head down to FL, no BJ or Video Poker. Casinos typically spread low limits and the fish are plentiful.

Let me know if you head down in this area.

would anyone at that boat still be employed there from 15 years ago? [censored] i was a young kid then. if i walked in there today none of the managers and hardly any dealers would even know who i was. also i would like to contact the dealer ""richard"" who worked there 15 years ago when Susan used to run the room. i seen her in ceasers on vacation in AC NJ this summer. i owe richard $50 and need to pay him.

played last nite at the casino in newkirk oklahoma, won about $71 but was stuck over $200 once. roy drove me there. hate the way the minimum buyin was $100 instead of less. seems to be quite common for OK rooms. FL would DEFINITELY be the place to go. i went there once in winter of 2003 for 3 months, mostly hung out at the seminole near ft laud. at the time the max bet was only $2. i arrived at the amtrak station near the miami airport in early jan 2003. lost my wallet with my state id at the airport which pissed me off royally. had no way to replace it cause i was born in canada and didnt have a birth certificate with me either. but i didnt have my cash in my wallet it was in my sock and was about $650. without my state ID i couldnt rent motel rooms, or get paid if i hit a big jackpot.
played daily all day them low limits for about 2 months, and eventually left FL for biloxi with about $1300 and eventually got a birth certificate sent off for and an ID made there, when i guy rented me a room for $75 a week in his mobile home who i met in the COPA poker room in gulfport. just goes to show u what can happen if ur on the road and lose all ur id.

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

u wouldnt be letting someone into ur room uve only known from a message board u would be letting someone in uve known from playing poker with a few hours. u wouldnt even need to be there, i could be in there for 10 min to shower as ur checking out. things like this can easily be worked out. and remember the 3rd option, u could claim im staying with u even though im not just so id be allowed to use the SPA. the reason homelessness is so pervasive in this country is people dont really wanna get involved in providing the personal attn and help thats most needed. they feel its easier to hand them 50c or yell out the window of their car "go [censored] apply at mcdonalds"

i fully agree with this post. NO BJ or video poker in FL, (unless of course u go on an offshore boat) which i didnt do, since i had no ID when i was last there. now i might wanna go on some boats since i got ID. florida is a very wonderful place for people with low bankrolls. $40-100 NL all over the place, and maybe theres an even lower buyin im not aware of for NL? if u know please tell me. also i hear the hard rock still has $2-5 stud and it goes ALL 24 hours every day and never breaks up. i plan to come to FL early Feb of 2008 to tampa area. all i need to do is figure out where i can get a very good price of rooms by the week connected to both the bus line and the busline near the casino. i definitely agree FL is full of fish and people just give their money away, i even saw dealers at coconut creek getting $5 in tips a lot in even $1-2 games with everyone in every pot in the hilo omaha in 2003.

would like any assistance u can supply about tampa motels cheap places to live, buses and where else to find good stud games, stud hilo games omaha hilo games, and the absolute cheapest NL games. with a $3000-4000 roll i hope to have i may have 50-100 buyins which would be wonderful, and id expect to clear over $2000 a month in profits easily.(am getting $1869 on jan31 from the US govt) and thats why im waiting for then to travel.

Hey Tony. I assume you're ignoring romdom, and I would continue to do so. No doubt this is yet another person trying to exploit you in some way.

If you're getting SSI, is it possible to see a psychologist for either dirt cheap or free? There are guys that specialize in Autism. This could be the honest, trusting support you need. I don't see that you couldn't just stay in one place, stick to online play, work on your game and make ok money.

But obviously don't listen to romdom. Don't trust people like that.

Ban romdom imo.

typing all these posts earlier caused me to go on tilt on FTP and i lost $72 there, but since then i turned a $44 satellite on stars into a $162 seat, unregistered to sell the seat for 99% on the dollar, and now im ahead. trying to watch the movie crimson tide. i would love to stick to one place but i want it to be FLORIDA or anywhere near a casino. not where im stuck here now in the middle of nowhere in central ks. i wanna be where casinos are, only reason im here is im getting $177 a month rent all utilites paid in govt housing for elderly or disabled, and mom and my 15 year old son 4 blocks away, would be difficult to move with TV computer and everything WITHOUT A CAR, but i really and truly wanna somehow relocate to either FL, wendover NV, or some place similar. my rolls increased slighty to a little over $1700.
