New to this site so definately don't use my opinion, but after reading a few sites and what not and seeing lines, I took lakers +5.5 Jazz outright, and the jazz/GS under at 214.5 That seems way high to me. Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
lakers cutting it pretty close there at the end
Wednesday a bunch of games going on, i like - dallas -4 v cleveland cleveland just really isnt that good, dallas is going to come out angry and will continue their reg season dominance. both teams are bringing back basically the same team. last season 1st meeting dallas by 3 even with bronbron putting up 39 sick numbers, 2nd meeting the D by 8. Only concern is that Dallas starts season bad again, but I dont think Avery will let them do that twice. - chi +2.5 v NJN chicago is just the better team, and imo it isnt even close |

Washington/Indiana O201
Washington will run. Indiana (under O'Brien) will be running and shooting 3's. |

Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
Lots of love for the Bulls getting 2.5, but what about the ML at +125. Seems like the possible better bet here.
Missing Wallace is going to be a factor, but not a big one...maybe costs the Bulls 2 or 3 points in the game. Missing Noah is not a factor, imo. Many Bulls fans were upset with this draft pick, precisely because they don't think he'll be an impact player in the NBA. He wouldn't have made an impact in his first game. I think the Bulls are 3-4 points better on a neutral court with Wallace. Any thoughts on the Nets home court advantage? Big one, small one...I don't really have a good feel for the intangibles of the NBA. Thanks all. |
Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
What does anyone think of the under for denver / seattle at 217.5?
I just cant see Seattle with a starting 5 of Earl Watson(PG), Kevin Durant(SG), Robert Swift(C), Damien Wilkins(SF) Chris Wilcox or Nick Collison (either one at PW) scoring a 100 Durant has a slight sprained ankle as does Jeff Green. Robert Swift hasnt practiced lately because of a swore knee and is doubtful. http://blog.seattletimes.nwsource.co...ex.html#019867 I just dont see them scoring atleast 100 and i know Denver can really score but atleast 117 seems high for opening night? But then again neither team plays much Defense except Camby Please share your insight!! |
Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
I like the under. With Durant coming off the injury, I don't think he's going to be too effective. I seem them struggling to post more than 90.

Does anyone know if bodog ever offers a moneyline?
|
Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
I think Seattle will cover here, and the under sounds pretty good as well. Denver is beat up. They just lost their starting PG (Atkins) for 2 months and will have to immediately adjust. The backup PG (Carter) is also out tonight, so they'll be starting Iverson at the point. JR Smith is suspended, so Yakhouba Diawara is starting at SG, and various other scrubs will be getting some playing time. Additionally, Camby's back has been acting up and he will probably play limited minutes.

Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
I always thought i could pick basketball so this year i will and keep my results on here...
tonight Chi +2.5- 1 unit (to win 1.9) Was -2.5- 3 units (to win 5.85) Mil +6.5-1 unit (1.9) Dal -3.5-1 unit (1.95). I would have bet more here but josh howard is suspended and i am not sure how much they will miss him. Tor-Phi 190.5o- 1 unit (1.90) Sea-Den 217u- 1 unit moneyline- all bets of 1 unit Tor (1.27), Bulls (2.25)- I dont know if its a smart gambling thing to bet the same game 2x...Spurs(1.4) |
Re: NBA 2007-08 Week 1 Thread (10/30 - 11/5)
Those aren't to win. You are betting 1 unit to win .9 units (if your decimal odds are 1.90).

Ben Wallace is, as ESPN 1000 has reported, is a game time decision. I follow all that is the bulls and I fully expect him to play but just limited amount of minutes. I like Tyrus he has his bursts of energy that show potential starhood but I think he is not developed enough right now. I'll be interested in seeing what happens in the first few weeks. |

what do you guys think about this bet:
three team teaser kings +14 Bulls +7.5 bucks +11 1 unit to win 1.50 units Bulls looks solid at +7.5 Kings not so sure but 14 is a lot for opening night. But need some more insight for this game Bucks +11 seems like they can stay close if Redd plays well and if center Andrew Bogut stays out of foul trouble. Plus Mason adds more scoring. But still not ssure please add insight if you have any of r this game too! Thanks for all the insight! 123xx456 |

Was -2.5, +101 (+103 MB)
Edit: adding 0.5u more on Was -2.5, -104 (-102 MB) Both Jermaine O'Neal and Troy Murphy, who were doubtful to play, are confirmed as sitting out the season opener. Their injuries/doubtful status were already somewhat factored in, but the confirmation that they are not playing, bumps this play up slightly for me. Line has moved a half point at most books, including Pinny, Greek, BM, WSEX. |
