Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
this episode fkn ruled. so many little things are what make the office so great and this ep was full of them. andy straddling the desk talking to pam, the sound of the outhouse door keeping pam up, the telemarketer people actually liking michael, the whomever spot....so v v good. def the best of the 4 so far.

Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
Weird ass episode. The scene where Andy talks to Pam was hilarious, as was Kelly and Daryl kissin.

Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
I know we're here for open discussion, but this was the best episode of the season, it's not close to even being close.
The guy running by Jim's car was hilarious. Rainn Wilson deserves major props for his acting in the stairs scene. My g/f cried. All around, Michael wasn't as ridiculous as the first 3 EPs, which is a plus. |

best of season by far, right up there for best of series. fantastic episode. [/ QUOTE ] |
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
Don't understand why y'all are so crazy about this episode. I mean, it was funny here and there, but a lot of scenes were really bad and boring imho. Most of the farm stuff for example. It had potential but turned out to be totally sad and boring. Jim and Pam couldn't joke about it rightly because it was just pathetic.
The whole whomever whoever also seemed dumb. It was just not convincing to me at all that any of the actors did a good job of being convinced that they cared. |
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
had some great laughs, and the dwight stuff was kinda cool i guess, and jim talking to him was nice cuz i have felt liek that before....still just an 'ok' episode though.

This is incredible. Absolutely incredible. Everything is so well done. It's funny. It's been touching, and they've developed characters perfectly. My favorite of the season, and possible the series, so far. [/ QUOTE ] same thoughts. sooooo awesome. big props to Kevin. |
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
question: I didn't totally get the last line Jim said to Dwight. "So my solution was to move away. It was awful. I needed something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.. and that includes you." The "needed" part is what confuses me. Or am I hearing it wrong?

And my option just seems more logical than your option. Still, not great though and we can probably just chalk it up to an acting misclick. |

It's unfortunate they aren't going to be all hour long (do we know how many more hour one's they're putting through?). amazing show... |
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
I have a feeling it might coincide with the Scrubs Premier... I believe it's next week. So no more hour long episodes, me thinks.
|
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
this was the last of the hour-longs
now back to half-hour with some 40ers and hour-longs thrown in from time to time (xmas episode, etc) |

Nothing would make me happier wrt to the show than Kevin getting killed off.
Except for Pam sex scene. |

[/ QUOTE ] It seems to be love/hate in OOT. I think love even has the majority. But he really grinds my gears for whatever reason. He's just so melodramatic and cartoonish. But I guess so is Michael, and I have no problem with him. shrug |
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
Do not compare Michael to Kevin. Kevin is just kept on to entertain viewers under 14. He is beyond retarded.
|
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
Kevin and Michael are by far my two least favorite characters and have been from season 1. Kevin is worst though.
|
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
This really surprises me, I think Michael is my least favorite character of anyone on the show tbh.
|
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
I like Kevin, i guess I'm the only one. He is really stupid, but really funny.

Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
Kevin is greatness.
Is Pam's review posted on Tripadvisor? |
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
I lol'ed at the Moses bathroom scene. And at Moses running along the car as Jim and Pam were pulling into Schrute farms.
|
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
wtf how can you hate Kevin? He is on or off in each episode, but when he is on its AMAZING. I mean [censored] casino night alone makes him the best supporting character not named Creed.

Very good episode and I don't like The Office nearly as much as 99% of OOT.

Kevin is greatness. Is Pam's review posted on Tripadvisor? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, and Angela has one about the owner being a psycho. Only other show related one is by Garreth Keenan. If you read it in the Garreth voice it's pretty funny, but I'm guessing that one is a normal fan just being clever. |
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
I'm not a huge Kevin fan. He's certainly not one of the better secondary characters on the show IMO. I agree with CrazyEyez that's he's too melodramatic. Last week's reading of "hot circle of garbage" is a good example. But other times, I think he's solid.
Anyways about the episode, I enjoyed it. It had a lot of great character scenes and some good laughs, but I'm shocked at how many people would call it one of the best of all-time. |

[ QUOTE ] women be shoppin [/ QUOTE ] Was trying to think of the Kevin line that made me lol last night. This was it. [/ QUOTE ] Not only the line but he goes for the fist pound with Stanley and just gets the Stanley look. That made it that much better. So many good Kelly moments last night, especially in Darryl's office when she got pissed and knocked his papers off and did the W(hatever)/L(oser)/whatever else on her way out. I loved the whole creepy farm feel during the bed and breakfast scenes too. When they roll up with Dwight in the rocking chair, perfect. A line that cracked me up (and I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one) was when Jim asked Dwight if Mose had nightmares often and Dwight ominously responds "Ever since the storm." One thing that confused me was Michael's whole situation. In the beginning I was 100% under the impression that his financial difficulties were due to crazy Jan, not having a job and living off of him, getting the Porsche, etc. This started getting confusing later when Oscar is helping Michael and talks about the extranneous expenses like the bass fishing stuff. Then when Jan is put in a positive light at the end.. I was just completely confused. So Michael's whole problem stemmed from his OWN overspending and he hid it from Jan rather it being Jan's fault? |

Many of the jokes/lines today make little sense if you aren't familiar with the characters and their backstories. |
Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
It certainly wasn't the funniest episode, but it made up for it with some good drama. I'm surprised to see so many people loving the whomever scene. I laughed, but it was nothing special.

Re: The Office Season 4 Ep 4
wezvidz,
What I made out of it was that Michael is just kind of a doofus with his money, but it didn't break him pre-Jan. He was a single bachelor making manager money (though there was that episode last season about how he had never gotten a raise because he never asked for one, but I think he got a fair raise after that). So he could afford to buy really dumb stuff. But with an unemployed Jan moving in with him, she pushed the finances way over the edge and he never adjusted and never told her to cool it. |

This show is all about the characters and if you don't know them well, the stuff isn't as funny. BTW, I agree with many in this thread, one of the best episodes ever. |

Jim: "It sounded like crying or ... moaning."
Dwight: "I'll have to look into that in the morning. Thank you for letting the staff know." HAHAHAHA |
