If you're going to call the raise preflop with queens and the flop comes 7-high, I don't think you should fold there. What flop are you looking for other than making three of a kind? Yang had already demonstrated to Childs that he was capable of slopping it around a little.

Only he can know what was going through his mind at the time. I've never played for that kind of money, but that seems like a "playing not to lose" move rather than a "playing to win" move.

Am I wrong?

No, you are right.

if Jerry started with 9M, reraised to 2.5 million preflop with the jacks, wouldn't betting 3 million by Childs only leave Jerry with about 4.5 behind him??? How much did Jerry obtain before that hand?

The thing TV isn't telling you here is that Jerry was literally raising 80% of the hands...during the live broadcast we all thought he was on air here.

They do such a poor job of painting the actual happenings. During the live broadcast, I thought there was no way Yang had a hand that could stand that much pressure on the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]

No. It's not. I like c/r the flop with Hilm's hand or check/calling and firing on any turn card. But not check/calling and check/shoving. Hilm's line is guaranteed to only get called by hands that have him beat. Furthermore, Yang has been a total calling station and probably couldn't let it go even if he thought he was behind.

These "Hold em or Fold em" segments are stupid. Should you call with KsQs on a 10 high flop with no spades and no straight draw?

What a waste of time.

I'm still surprised that we've seen almost nothing of Lee Watkinson during this whole ME. The biggest name gets no coverage from ESPN...strange.

No. Yang was running over the table by winning pots without a showdown. He had not made any big calls at that point.
