I'm not a hudge EricW fan, but I agree with him here. He's (sadly) better than most of the other posters in B4L ('cept the ones who rule, you know who you are) even if he is kinda redundant and gimmicky. He definitely shouldn't be banned or otherwise punished.

That said, why not just have one EricW thread? Since all your posts are basically all part of one ongoing quest to touch a boobie, I think for efficiency's sake it'd be cool if they were all in one place. But whatever, it should probably be up to you if you want to do that.

no, either expand the ericw program to other frequent horrible thread starters and try to have some standards in bbv4l, or allow it to suck and let ericw start just as many bad threads as anybody else. you can't have it both ways.

You'll note in my sticky I made a point about consistency. I'm not going to read every post, and not every decision I make is going to be perfectly fair. I really do welcome threads/discussions like this, because that's how we get closer to things really being fair.

The bottom line, is if the site's owners don't agree with the content of certain users posts, they have the right to keep it off the site.

The entire point of having moderators is so there is somebody looking out for the company name.

I seriously doubt any other mods/higher-ups will object to the containment here.

we have all hashed through this before, and if this is the bbv4l we have then thats fine and whatevs there is always problems with a changing of the guard

IMO i dont think you need to cut ericw's balls off to get to the point that you want him to post new threads less. I think telling people they suck is great - but restrictions like this should only be used when the guy has not headed your warnings. From how I understand it, EricW was given no official warning (plz correct me if wrong)

Anyone who takes EricW at face value doesn't realize that he used to be a semi-sane poster. Now he basically puts on the guise of the retarded EricW we all know so that he can dance the line between bannable trolling and horrible posting that ruins forums.

He's done a really good job of avoiding the permaban so far, but it's obvious he's deliberately become a low content guy whose only real contribution left to 2p2 is the garbage that clutters BBV4L.

Keep him within the containment thread.

E.g., Blutarski. He was a terrible poster in bbv4l (sorry dude), much worse than ericw. but with the fear of kyleb now, he has toned down teh suckiness and has actually made some amusing threads i believe.

CMI, EricW is a very reasonable, sane poster. That's what makes the trolling so intolerable -- because it's such a deliberate act that does such a good job of avoiding mod nukes.

EricW is awesome. Alot of people like him. He is not breaking any rules in BBV4L except that Dids doesn't like him.

The forum is built on people posting random [censored] and sometimes it takes off, sometimes it doesn't.

Admins (if you don't have me on ignore): See if the traffic to the forum is any different before/after the EricW ban. Check his posts for any rules he's broken. Isn't BBV4L one of the most frequently trafficked forums on the site? Wouldn't you be losing revenue if a popular poster stopped posting for no reason?

Well it seems that the only way EricW is gonna be able to keep writing OP`s is if they are contained in one thread. He could of just been banned, but it seems that Dids is atleast trying to keep him around (even though he hates him). Eric should just take the good with the bad.
