well so far there's 3 of us that are substantial winners at 2/4+ so paying the 1k/month shouldn't be an issue for any of us -

we're trying to find 1 or 2 more people that are financially stable and that have above par social skills to participate in this adventure ; )

all,

I don't want to commit to one year lease but would absolutely do this and be a ski bum. If the idea generates enough interest, I'll start a new thread. Whistler ftw I'm open to other ideas, Alps, etc.

skier et true,

I'd prefer to be on the Italian side of the Alps, I like the girls and food better. Give me some ideas that are compatible with skiing in Europe, in the Alps or others.

Just a suggestion on pricing out the rooms: Say you have 3 rooms and rent is 3000. make the master 1200, the middle 1000, the small 800. Then just bid on the master and realocate across the other rooms until everyone is happy.

Hope you find some guys, sounds like a good time. Vancouver is the nuts btw.

This is baller; Canada is -ev in terms of you will live in Canada, +ev in terms of being able to play on Party. I'd do it, but I'm analy clean and can't deal with messy dudes throwing huge parties.

LOL at the location #2 is minutes away from where I am currently renting. Do you think it would be hard to lease these places seeing how all the residents will be "unemployed"?

I have colat. but of course I wouldn't want to sign the lease alone - worse comes to worse we'll caught up a few months rent in advance

why rent? if any of you are baller baller id just get a mortgage on something sick, at least you build up equity.

becuase it's a short term thing, if you put down a downpayment on a 800k house and stay in it for 6months-1year its a big waste of time plus your basicly just paying off the interest anyways

I ran into this problem renting my current place. Landlord was asking for bank info, employment info, credit info, etc. The conversation ended pretty quickly when I said "how much cash do I have to give you for you to forget everything you just said and not bring it up again?"

Considered Victoria, BC? ...right across the water from Vancouver. I just moved here (Vic) from SF and it kicks azz on so many levels...plenty of houses/properties to choose from, even better deals than Van, prettier, still easy access to Van, zee women are beautiful, and you're not in "high-rise" world.
