it is a feature there to let the posters be creative. the problem is that people would want to be able to change it. this could never be allowed. whatever you pick you are stuck with.

i see no reason that posters who don't want to beg for a title not be allowed to simply have one with no questions. people would want to beat the jonse's, so there would be some damn funny stuff imo.

my 2cents, which i repeated in the mod forum. fyi, i think i am the only mod that wants this so i'm sure your "merit" (asskissing) rule will stay in place.

i disagree.

when you sign up at a pokersite you get a title. it is you. that's the idea behind them. all i am saying is that it would be fun to let everyone have them without having to launch a campaign.

What's the point of the default titles? They are merely regurgitating the post count. So if custom titles are redundant to Location input, then default titles are just as redundant to the post count.

For your edification, please note the "especially British" clause at http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/levelled . As you may know, I am especially British.

Or, please note the "US" aside at http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/level?view=uk .

The word "leveled" would be pronounced as the meaningless "lev-eeld" by an Englishman. (Perhaps that is how an American would pronounce it? Obviously, I have never heard an American speaking in real life.)

The word "levelled" would be pronounced, correctly, by an Englishman as "levelled".
