Re: Official Stars Regulars Thread: Part II

Well biggest winner against me at 50nl is bbalazs23 but I did lose 200bb to him playing the worse hand I ever played.
2nd biggest is Parseval who just loves pushing for way over the pot with a draw, unfortunately he has hit the draw everytime He has done it.

Spliffwista seems decent, he is 23bb/100 over 800 hands, steals a lot, has 3 bet a bit and so far has the edge over me

My favourite is immerso, he is such a weak tight nit, he limps, I will raise him everytime and he just keeps folding and the select times he has a hand he makes it so obvious, I love having position on him.

More thoughts as I remember people

If you guys haven't figured out how to exploit katatonic yet, you don't value bet enough.

Piscogay is .. weird. He does goofy bluffs and he is really passive so you gotta guess when he's bluffing and when he has it. Basically just take pots off of him when he doesn't show interest.

redscorpion_x is solid - was taking shots at nl100 about a month ago. Not sure why he's playing nl25 now.

how about 10NL?

a good player ive logged some time with is sammyg113...played like a supernit at a full 6 max tbl, but really opens his game shorthanded (3 handed or less)...i played HU with him and that was interesting...running at about 15/12/12 overall. 65% W$SD rate...

but most the ppl i have a lot of hands on are overall losers otherwise (brag)

MomoZerg seems to be one of the best players in that game to me. But you can talk him into folding if you start picking up his lines well enough.

He plays really passive against me for some reason. I have asked this guy like 4 times if he will teach me to play starcraft and he NEVER answers. He has never said one word in the chatbox. Tonight I ask him to sit out twice if he lost his chat, no sit out. -__-

It doesn't mean too much. I rarely ever respond to chat and when I do I feel like I probably shouldn't have. He's not there to talk and it wastes time and is distracting.

Might not even be reading the chat or may not even have that tab open.

So I was playing 50NL, taking shots at 100NL in the spring, then ended up cashing out my roll and am now grinding it back up at 25NL. Seems like a bunch of the 50NL regs are down here, a couple of 100NL regs, and a whole bunch of people are still here that I expected to have moved up. Is everyone running bad or are the games getting tougher, or what?

Anyway, I'm Synesthete on Stars 25NL. Feel free to comment on the drug-induced spewage I've no doubt inflicted on you over the past week.

Piscogay is very predictibal preflop, cause he limps small pps utg and mp. He plays very tight in EP/MP/CO and normaly loose in late. That`s what confuses some people.

Re: Official Stars Regulars Thread: Part II

Don`t really like to comment about katatonic, cause he`s a real nice guy. He plays lot`s of tables, and doesn`t gets involved in a huge pot with a small hand. He does however call to much with weaker hands if you betsize accordingly.

BTW I`m the dumbest 100NL HU player on stars period !

a reg im always playing agianst is Danpil @ 10 NL how does this guy win?

he is always on like 10 tables playing a super nit game actully there are several players like that I frequently see I dont have my DB in front of me right now but these guys are sooo easy to bluff/3bet/get off of anything besides AA and KK.

castigar is a pain in the butt lolz

Danpil is weak tight. He falls in love with SCs preflop). Also, he tilts easily and starts to play real bad.

Ditto! I actually moved up to 100NL briefly, but due to a hefty overdraft (thankyou university!) I had to cash out my roll. Only played a few thousand hands back down at 25nl but I'm finding it enjoyable compared to some higher limits and relatively easy!

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't have my DB at the moments, but I know 633csi is a player I try to avoid big pots with. Only big pots I've played with him he had a set on the flop and a big pair (KK I think) pre-flop. Doesn't appear to get out of line very much.

I love danpil, plays very weak, easy to steal from.

Castigar plays really tight and pretty aggro postflop across all streets from what I remember. I tend to float him a bit but in general we rarely tangle as he doesn't play too many hands. I like him on my left.

I think so. He just isn't too aggressive postflop from what I remember. He PFR then doesn't try and do anything postflop. At NL2 and NL5 being overly aggressive is a bad thing anyway.

There's a player named KingArthuro who I have tangled with at NL25 many times and seemed nittish and beatable, although he usually sat only when he had position to the left....however more recently I have seen him sitting at tables with LARGE stacks (this morning at one table with over $170)

Anyone else familiar with this player? 2+2er?

The only one from this list I've played with is qwertyman1, but he seems like a pretty standard TAG...fairly predictable and easy to play against if you have position on him. Different story OOP, obv.

Agree that angel is a good solid TAG. Pretty sure I've seen screenshots on this site of him playing NL200 6-8 months ago, however I've run into him at NL10/NL25.

I had one interesting hand against him that I posted

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...ue#Post11449499

Not sure if he was BS'ing me, but if he was serious about folding T9 on that hand, that might be useful information for some.

Bennyboy85 doesn't play tighten up enough from UTG. Will play the same hands in the CO as UTG, but steals a bit more from the button.

I also have a couple hands on him with a B3B line w/ TPTK on a very wet board.

Re: Official Stars Regulars Thread: Part II

I wonder if Hellscreem at 10NL ever sleeps. It doesn't matter what time or what day it is, he/she is always there. Pretty agressive too on all streets. But I think on average, players are too agressive at this limit (or I may be too passive). I sometimes just fold AJ in ep because it seems to get crushed. Also, a lot of players at this limit seem to play weak top pair the same as top pair top kicker. Either oblivious to overpairs or too agressive or sometimes exploiting me for playing cautiously when threatened with a big pot. Makes it very tough to read hands. Might be better to buy in for $6 at this limit?

Re: Official Stars Regulars Thread: Part II

splifftwista, redscorpion_x (a buddy of mine), mambreno and andiminator all seem like very solid players, I try to avoid these guys unless I think I can get them to lay down a hand by pushing +EV hands and folding when I don't think my hand is good on the flop.

He's fairly solid. I have him as losing after 500+ hands but that may be the sample size. Plays about 25/15/2.5
