Sounds like you're describing The Palace in Hayward... the PLO/O8 game that apparently used to be spread there is now defunct, but the uncapped buyin NLHE game still goes, and is still ridiculously good.

In Spanish (which I assume is the native language of country of origin for your beer of choice), "Negra" is the feminine and "Negro" is the masculine. So, I'm a chauvanist not a racist. I guess I was drinking the manly version of the beer, and you were drinking the ladies version.
