there have been many threads about it, but the maniac strategy is NOT the only way to play. You can be EXTREMELY profitable in the rebuy tournaments by playing tight aggressive poker in the rebuy period, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. the maniac strategy (allin every hand no matter what) is absolutely -EV. Whether or not a modified maniac strategy (allin with suited connectors and other decent hands) is better than simply being tight aggressive is debatable, but absolutely do not feel that you have to be a maniac.

you and I have different definitions of what maniac strategy is.

I think Funki's definition is the generally accepted one in the forum. Allin every hand no matter what until you get to 10-12k, then you slow down.

What is your definition?
