well thats an ok way of looking at it against a good aggressive player who will make it tough on you a lot but against an obviously ultraloose and semi-passive idiot like this guy I'll take those odds all day.

you are frequently faced with a difficult turn decision where you either bet with the worst hand or just give up the pot

most loose players still know how to use position to their advantage, its not like they are just going to check this down and never bluff

I really think folding preflop is a bad bad play. These hands play so well so many ways, what hands are you stealing with?

Honestly I think its very rare where I have a difficult decision on the turn against these types of guys - personally I have no problem "giving up" on a pot on the turn if I have nothing. If I have something (gutshot+) I bet, if not I'm done. I think playing this hand here is just overwhelmingly +EV.

I complete this preflop and bet any flop that misses me, while check-raising if I hit gutshot or better.

Had I raised I would play it the same.
