Jesus, the casting was phenomenal in that movie. That's one of the best movies ever. Whatever grievances you have with the casting has to be done away with by the mere presence of Jack Nicholson.

I hate DiCaprio, but he's really really good... and Marky Mark is probably the best supporting character in that movie, or any other movie in the last 3 years.

No one else bought Marky Mark in his role either. They just decided to nominate him best performance by an actor in a supporting role Oscar for his singing.

I don't think anyeone in this thread has agreed w/ OP. And I don't know how anyone could. Scorsese, DiCaprio, Damon, Nicholson, Whalberg *sp, Sheen, etc... Wait...you're right...horrible recipe for a movie................
