Chess is a much tougher sport.

Ugh. Neither chess or poker are sports. Just because ESPN decided to start showing poker didn't turn it into a sport.

^That although I would think Chess requires more intense thinking.

Talked with the wife about this tonight. She has played one time with me at 2/4 live last year. She said, "Yea, I could see how intense concentration may burn some calories but I'll never forget the image of Large Marge that night at the table who was eating a triple decker club sandwich and a half hour later was engulfing a deluxe piece of cherry cheesecake like it was her last request"

I think the juice thing sounds solid(or liquid that is).

I am amazed at just how much water I can drink while playing though. I may come up with a Poker Catheter so I don't miss too many hands

If you're in the bathroom constantly, you're not dehydrating. It's probably smoke or some other irritant that's making you thirsty.

Chiropractors don't know [censored] about nutrition. Sports drinks are just water and sugar, NOT good for poker. If you are feeling fatigued you need slow carbohydrates now fast ones like in sugar. Eat solid meals regularly and drink water, you be fine.

The fact that chess players may "burn way more calories than one might think" doesn't mean that you should load up on high calorie sport drinks because you're sitting at a poker table for three or four hours--and engaging in a game which takes way less mental energy than tournament chess.

In addition, lol for taking health advice from a chiropractor.

They are shockingly unqualified to talk about almost anything health related.

FTR, I didn't say I took his advice. Just repeating what he said. He merely recommended it to me. I didn't say anything to him in agreement or disagreement.

I fail to see how it's "shocking". It would be about on par with asking for weight loss tips from your dentist.
