when he does this raise, you shouldnt wonder what he has or not in this spot. You should just think are there any other easier ways to take his money? most of the time there is. If not you should prolly stay out of most big pots with this guy.

works great, wins me alot of money.

i dont think this kind of thinking is optimal, a play should only be made if it is +EV, this isnt a tournament where I have to pick spots with the biggest edge, if i think its the right play (im not saying it is) then i should always do it.

No i dont mean in every spot, but in these tricky spots. I used to do this too much too, and thinking like that helped me not to do it. Unless you got a really realy good read on the guy and your gut says hes full of [censored] or something you can 4bet him or whatever. But playing it like this is just far from optimal, especially at 100NL. You can still get like 7ptbb/100 if you dont make these plays with K high.

Im drawing this out too long, but to make it clear, this guy plays 100NL. Most 100NL players have leaks, you should find those and exploit it, so you dont have to make these super tricky moves with K high.

Re: Is this too spewy?

problem is that even if he's bluffing he's firing the turn a lot so ur gonna have to shove over a turn bet most of the time which is obviously massive spew. i fold the flop here always but since you called you have to bet when he checks. I play an overpair this way very frequently.
