Wow chewy, if I actually spent time to respond to that post I think I would've been a lot more harsh.



This is a shove easy, the only case you could make for not shoving is if you thinking raising smaller would make 99-TT fold for some reason since a lot of donks will do things like min-raise AA/KK when short.

I really don't see why pushing with 88 and 10xBB is so much better than making it 4.5xBB. There are some minor advantages to pushing, but 4.5xBB may look stronger and there are some cases when someone might call and fold the flop. For all I know 4.5xBB may be a better play. I think some people here are may too much on making standard bet sizes preflop.

Totally agree, saying that raising 4.5x here is horrible is just lol. Pushing will pretty much always be equal to raising 4.5x, and like betgo says might even give you more FE vs some guys.

In short though, I think 4.5x = shoving for FE purposes.
