Last week they played Texas Hold'em, so yes it belonged in this forum. Yesterday, however, they played BJ and <font color="white">xxxHellmuthxxx</font> won. It was actually quite good as far as mostly boring Tv BJ goes. Anyway, look for my next thread in this forum about frisbee poker. It's the next big thing. They played no limit in the course of a blackjack tournament? Makes as much sense to me as them playing no limit at the final table of the HORSE tournament last year.

FWIW, the UBT pros are made up of UltimateBet poker pros and a set of blackjack tournament pros. The poker round happened to determine the best combined BJ/poker player, theoretically. There were 3 semifinal BJ tournaments with 21 pros of both poker and blackjack. The winner of each table went to the no-limit poker final with $750,000 in chips. The 2nd place finisher of each BJ semi-final table went to the no-limit poker final with $500,000 in chips.

From the 21 players to play BJ, only Annie Duke and Robert Williamson III qualified from their BJ round to play in the no-limit poker final, along with 4 BJ pros. This was the only episode of poker that had been played on the UBT show. Blair Rodman and Phil Hellmuth did the analysis for the show, taking over for Max Rubin, the BJ analyst.

The episode that Phil Hellmuth played against Rene Angelil and Freddy Deeb was a single-table celebrity table of elimination BJ.
