I completely agree, it would probably be read dependent, but unless I have a read that the person is incredibly TAG, I call.

Re: A5s on the bubble

I'd make my standard raise here which is 800 with a bb of 300.

OP said there hasn't been much restealing going on so presumably you're not going to get shoved on very light so if someone does shove, you get away cheaper (should you decide to fold...against the right player I might call a shove with a5).

JSmith, I don't know how 2.5x raise screams A or K rag when for a lot of people that's a standard raise size for their whole range...personally I'd use it for AA down to a steal with ATC.

Re: A5s on the bubble

I'll tend to vary my raise size by position, and by table conditions, but very rarely by my cards. Both of these things in this hand argue for something between 2.5 and 3x, so that's what I'd do.

I have started to raise like 2,1*bb pretty often actually, but odd amounts so it looks like more.

Yeh, I don't think you have odds to push for 19xBB with this hand. This is probably a marginal push with 10xBB.

Is there an ante? Without an ante, the push is much worse.
