Re: Theory: Pot-sized Donkbets

I donkbet pure air a lot (if the board suits action+read). I also donk prs and draws depending on stack sizes and villains.

Sometimes this gets me into trouble, but more often it sends villains into tailspins of confusion. (either raising and folding to another donk on the next street, folding too lightly, or raising and calling a threebet too lightly)

I almost never donk big pots with weak hands or medium/short stacks oop. I have a really hard time not donking small pots with deep stacks from oop.

I pretty much agree with whats been said here but I think it's also very much player and flop texture dependent.

Player and flop dependent? WTF is this?
No way bro, donk bet=same thing every time obviously.
player dependent, pffff

I simply do NOT make donk bets. If my hand is good enough to bet into a preflop raiser i think it's also good enough to raise him... so..

Against your standart donk it's sign of either medium pair weak kicker or some kind of draw that wants to get there cheap.

Do you mean smaller donk bets are a sign of some kind of draw wanting to get there cheap? If you think pot sized donk bets fall into this category too could you please elaborate?
