Re: Typical Area of Confusion - suited connectors in the SB

Was it that bad a play? It's the classic SSHE "play any two suited in the SB" argument. Qx is hardly terrible here in my opinion.

this hand is all good

ranging BB is just impossible based on his play.... i just dont see a 9 betting this river, or a naked A calling on the flop with 3 live behind him.

24 makes sense, as does A5 and A3

meh im confused and i probly call the river

river fold is certainly not a big mistake tho, particularly if we minus the utility of information.... so yeah nh

playing Q7s here is fine. DO NOT fold this preflop here. I dont like Q7o though..that be junky!

This hand is fine and I was not referring to the hand in my post.

One thing though.. be careful of making such a generalization as SSHE says "play any two suited in the SB". This is def not true.

err ob = ozi battler, obv = obviously

lol... acronyms have gone too far

i fold 27s and many other suited cards in this spot and i dont think some of them are even close.

(note to op: this discussion is about the rule in general, not the hand in question, Q7s is a good hand and should never ever ever be folded here)

Bit off the topic, but what is the default lowest Q sooted kicker you will steal with OTB? Q6 sooted?

yeah
http://ethelthefrog.net/sa/72-rules.jpg

seriously though it depends. How much are we paying here--ie what did we pay as the SB? If we're paying .5SB sure I'll limp w/ 72. If it's .66SB probably not.

And if BB raises I'm folding preflop when it comes back around. How's that for weird?
