I went last Christmas and the three best things I did were...

1. Scuba diving on the great barrier reef. We went with Quicksilver out of Port Douglas and it was really good.

2. Driving the great ocean road.

3. Climbing the Harbour Bridge.

There is also pub poker in practically every city which would be an easy place to meet people.

WhoIAm and I tried that last year.

To put it mildly, people playing pub poker are not HSNL 2p2 experts.

There are a bundle of people in every major australian city who are reguarly on 2p2 and would be a better source of people.

Legend if you stay at urban in Australia you don't need to hire a car or catch taxis. Everything is in walking distance or available via efficient public transport. You might wanna hire a car for the ocean road tour. But honestly hot backpacker girls go on the private tours so just book yourself on one of those. You can book that through urban. Loads of Irish girls looking for action .

And yeh definitely don't play pub poker if you're looking to meet intelligent people. Some of them may be intelligent in all actuality, but if you're partial to someone's poker skills you will think they were all retarded. At crown the players are still retarded at the lower stakes, so you can make some money plus have a good laugh playing on the poker pro machines (it's like live poker on a computer system that works on a random number generator, but still texas hold 'em). There's no dealers to tell you not to make fun of people or stop you from talking on your phone etc.

All the east coast ia amazing - make sure u get up to far north Queensland - some beautiful beaches and rainforests up there. If your a fan of camping, wildlife, the outdoors and the like head to the Northen Territory or Tasmania both are picturesque!

If for some reason you end up in South Australia PM me and I'm sure we can show you a good time... (that sounds so amazingly dodgy!)

Well, I'm in Sydney, have been since friday late. I slept most of yesterday.

I'm currently staying at Maze Backpackers in chinatown, which kinda sucks. Tuesday my bro and I are going to fly to cairns and see the great barrier reef. We'll be there 3 days.

When we come back, I'm gonna shack up at Wake Up Sydney, and a couple days after that my brother is gone.

After that, I gotta figure out what to do for 3 more weeks.

Today I'm gonna go to the beaches and drink.

Nice work Legend. A backpackers in Chinatown doesn't sound like the greatest. Move out to the beaches. The weather will be warming up soon.

Btw you should love North Queensland.

* Glebe Markets on a Saturday

PARTYING

* Lowenbrau Keller (The Rocks)
* James Squire Brewhouse (King Street Wharf)
* Belgian Beer Cafe (The Rocks)
* Glenmore Hotel (The Rocks)
* Coogee Bay Palace
* The Eastern (Bondi Junction)
* Scubar (big backpackers bar - Central)
* Kings Cross - clubbing/nightlife centre of Sydney

POKER

* Star City Casino - players are terrible there

I don't know, i'm sure there are loads of other things to do, but I've lived here all my life so I can't remember them at the moment. PM me if you want more info on anything.

sydney casino literally has to be in the top few casinos anywhere on earth for high rake.

the rake at 200nl (5/5 blinds) is $1 per player per hand - regardless of pot size.
