Focus on no-limit Texas Hold 'em. That is what you will find mostly in cash games and tourneys. It is, by far, the best poker game. It is like an optical illusion, it looks easy but as the hand plays out it gets progressively more complex. Experts love it. I have studied it for fifty years. My novel is about an old guy teaching a young guy about Hold 'em and life, which are closely related.

Yeah I was probably gonna go with No limit anyway. I played LHE for a week but I barely made anything and it is incredibly dull and there is sick variance which outweighs the profits you can make.

You've been studying No limit for 50 years? What stakes do you play now?
