What happens when KK check-raises a blank turn?

That's why I was planning on taking a free card off if I didn't improve. I think calling a river bet UI in this scenario is close because there are a couple of hands I beat that he plays like this (AKs, maybe KQs).

Ideally, the hand plays out like this:
turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] villain check calls
river: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] villain c/r and call a 3-bet

What do you think of villain's river play?

I take it he had AA?

Your flop play in the hand basically represents either a set or a big draw. And given that that Tc on the flop is not a flush card, I think the big draws are plentiful enough that Villain's river play is a bit reckless.

So I think it's a mistake, but it's an easy mistake to make in the heat of the moment.

funny I ran into this exact same hand recently except there were two broadways on the flop. I only raised the flop but it was live so that's pretty much the same as capping online. villain bet/called the ace river which imo is correct.
