What do we do if villain range merges with an overbet? [/ QUOTE ] Can someone please explain "range merge" so I don't feel so stupid? |

If he's a passive nit, not a good player, that's more reason to fold. [/ QUOTE ] |

What do we do if villain range merges with an overbet? [/ QUOTE ] why is this relevant? river isn't an overbet. r u saying u have notes on him that says he overbets w/ air, monsters, and medium strength hands? |

Re: Ugly river, range mergers n stuff
easy call. its such a juicy card to bluff, and u should know it. if he happens to have it this time, its standard variance, if u see this happen more than once or see him checking a similar spot in the future, note this and u will know what to do vs him next time.

Re: Ugly river, range mergers n stuff
Nielso, the question on the river becomes dependent on your read of a player.
If your read is: 1.) He bluffs this card a lot 2.) He values this card if he hit it 3.) He doesn't value an 8 or 77 like this Then call The best way to be less exploitable from villains perspective is to mix up whether or not you bluff the card and make some thin value bets with 2nd pair type hands |
